I hail from Ontario, Canada. Growing up, I was privileged to hear, meet and be influenced by some of North America's gospel music legends at many concerts and church events. Attending Toronto's famous concert venue known as 'Massey Hall', which was home to many 'All Night Sings', I met groups and outstanding singers like the Statesmen Quartet, the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, the Happy Goodman Family Singers, the Bill Gaither Trio, the Couriers, the Speer Family, the Oak Ridge Quartet [yes the forerunners of the now very famous Oak Ridge Boys], and many others. JD Sumner, Jake Hess, Hovie Lister, James Blackwood, Ben Speer, Neil Enloe, Duane Nicholson, Dave Kyllonen, Phil Enloe, and others made music that entertained, but also spread the love of God through their inspiring lyrics and melodies.

Today's influences are still many of those names, plus fabulous Christian artists such as Ivan Parker, the Talleys, Greater Vision, and the 'new' Couriers of Pennsylvania.

I began to sing in church choirs around age thirteen, and at fifteen, sang my first solo at the insistence of my Youth Pastor, Craig Pitts. I still recall the name of that tune. It was, "If I Can Help Somebody", a song made popular at the time by Richard Roberts [son of Evangelist Oral Roberts].

For about ten years, I sang with Oshawa's 'Good News' mixed gospel quintet, learning much from that talented group, which included cousin Lloyd Bell, an outstanding pianist and extremely smooth tenor vocalist.

Following the retirement of that group, I worked with some local trio and quartet music at other venues, along with my brother, a very talented vocalist in his own right, Timothy Bell. Timothy went on to sing and record with the 'Skyway Quartet' out of Burlington, Ont.

From church dinner concerts, Senior's Ministry events, denominational Camps, little country churches seating 25, big city churches of 2000, and a few venues in between, I have been privileged to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a song.

While not a 'professional' singer, I appreciate the opportunities I'm given. I would love to meet and sing for your church service, concert, organization, or special event....

My wonderful wife of 30 years is Jane, and we have two children, Chris and his beautiful wife Jacqueline, and another son, Brian. In summer's weather, we might be found vacationing in one of Ontario's natural campgrounds or sparkling waterways, somewhere north of Toronto. We attend a full-gospel church and have proven over the years that faith in God, our Saviour Jesus Christ, family and fellowship are cornerstones of a happy life. God has been my rock and is always faithful!

I could never take credit for all the good in my life without giving honour to my parents, Keith and Carmel Bell, who provided me with a happy home and examples of Christian love. My Dad is in Heaven now, but I know that Mom still prays daily for me and my family. How great is that?
